Art Conspiracy aims to encourage public participation in the arts and to promote educational and cultural programs in our various small, rural communities. We strive to support and encourage artist both young and old in the arts and crafts.

Our main focus has been providing an intensive two week summer arts program rotating through our communities directly after school is out in June. We cooperate with the local school district to use the school space where we offer some eighteen different classes each lasting 2 ½ hours daily for the duration of the two weeks. We hire professional artists and/or certified art teachers to instruct the classes of no more than ten students each.

We additionally strive to have an art presence in our communities. We do this by working with existing groups to enhance the work they are doing. For example, we encourage and facilitate young artists who wish to participate in local art shows by holding matting workshops. We provide additional awards for young people participating in the Daffodil Festival and we assist students with entries in the Sheridan Days Art show. We cooperate with the Willamina Chamber Group by organizing and gathering student entries from across the county for the Coastal Hills Student Art Show.
